SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce and helps each student excel. SkillUSA provides educational programs, events and competitions that support career and technical education (CTE) in the nation’s classrooms.
The SkillsUSA Championships are competitive events showcasing the best career and technical education students in the nation. Contests begin locally and continue through the state and national levels.
TCAT-Shelbyville students, Micah Keele, Collision Repair Program, competed in the Collision Repair Technology contest. Latoya Watson, AOT, competed in the Prepared Speech contest, won bronze. Jennifer McCarty, AOT, competed in Employment Application Process contest, won gold. Erecia Harris, AOT, competed in Customer Service contest, won bronze. Earl Teitsch, AOT, competed in Job Interview.
