My name is Kristin Alisabeth Coutts, I am a 26 year old Architectural Drafting student at Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville and the new Student Government Association president. I am originally from Orlando, Florida but moved to Lincoln County, Tennessee in 2007 and graduated from Lincoln County High School in 2011. While in high school I was an active participant in SkillsUSA as well as the vice-president. Our opening and closing team won first place at state in 2011, awarding us full ride scholarships to Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology as well as an opportunity to compete on a national level. Since graduating, I have remained close to the high schools SkillsUSA chapter and am now president of their alumni. In 2013 I began working for a land surveyor and discovered my intended career path as a drafter. I received my certification as a certified survey technician as well as recorded several plats of my design with the Madison County Courthouse in Madison County, Alabama. In September of 2018 I made the decision to come back to Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville and finish my drafting certification, along with acquiring each certification, whether on a state or national level, that I am given the opportunity to earn. Outside of school and work I am an avid bass fisher and music lover. I have a dog, Grizzly Bear, who I take on every adventure, and I have a close relationship with my family.
