About
The mission of the Pharmacy Technology program is to provide both the technical instruction and skills development for the student to begin or advance their career in the pharmacy technician profession. Our curriculum combines classroom and experiential learning opportunities to prepare graduates to assist registered pharmacists in the patient care process in a variety of clinical settings. The program will prepare the student to take the nationally recognized Pharmacy Technology Certification Board Exam. After passing this exam, the student will be awarded the designation of Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
Participants in the Pharmacy Technology Program at Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Shelbyville are subject to a criminal background check, drug screen, and demonstrating proof of immunizations as required by the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy and TCAT's clinical affiliates.
This full-time program meets Monday-Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.
