The National CTE Letter of Intent Signing day was held at TCAT-Shelbyville on February 16, 2017.  In all, 19 students from area high schools took part in the signing ceremony that recognized their intention to pursue a technical education with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Shelbyville. Local area business leaders Elaine Middleton - Executive Director, Fayetteville-Lincoln County Industrial Development Board, Robert Solano – Tyson, Tracy Hoover - Calsonic, Kenzie Tucker - Calsonic and Dr. Terry Mimms – Eastern Ed. Manager, Snap-On Tools participated in the Signing Day event.

NC3 signing day is designed to honor students who have chosen to enter a technical field. NC3 Exective Director, Roger Tadajewski, has been quoted as saying, “Technical education builds families, sustains communities and grows a highly skilled workforce.”
