The philosophy of the Championships is to reward students for excellence, to involve industry in directly evaluating student performance and to keep training relevant to employers’ needs.
Jennifer McCarty, Administrative Office Technology student from TCAT-Shelbyville, won GOLD in the Employment Application Process in the National SkillsUSA Competition in Louisville, KY.
The Employment Application Process competition tests the contestant’s readiness in applying for employment and their understanding of the process. The competition includes completing an application and interviewing with the judges. The contestant's resume and portfolio are used during their interviews.
